the last great swordsman

Story BackgroundJoshua (a great swordsmen judge) dies and the rise of monarchy in Israel begins. During this tumultuous time several leaders, judges, are raised up to govern the people. Some of these men and women are heroic in their efforts while others rule over a people straying far from God.

Game Events

The game begins with the three swordsmen judges being called to war. The three swordsmen gather their strength to fight against the Perizzite‘s army and Canannite army. They head to Bezek (a war torn desert battlefield) and fight against ten thousand Perizzite and Canannite troops. While in the mist of fighting we kill the bad king’s (he is the whole point of game and end boss) son named Oreb. Adonibezek the Perizzite’s captain flees from the battle; to try and save himself from our encroaching forces coming and taking over his army and coming after him. We locate Adonibezek miles away hiding in an abandoned stable (an old farm house) and clashed with him and cut off his hands and toes and stab him so that he dies a painful death. Where after, the bad king’s son dies and he kills some Israelite’s (our tribes people).

We travel to Jerusalem and smite it with the edge of the sword (siege the city), and set the city on fire. A bad warrior (enemy from another army) gets wounded and burned in the fires in the city; although he manages to survive with only severe wounds and burns. Afterward we head to the armies that dwell in the mountains, and in the south, and in the valley. We engage in war and defeat the Hebronites that lie in the mountainous area‘s, but we can not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they have chariots of iron and bring our attacking efforts to a halt when they use strong iron and steel weapons and vehicles.

Our Israelite people (the swordsmen’s tribe) did evil and lowered their guard (determined mindset to live rightly) and got themselves captured. Eglon the king of Moab captured our people and made them slaves. His army and the Ammorite’s army made the Israelites work their land (plant crops, tend to the land, and make clay stones; for free) of palm trees (a very vegetative/ well irrigated land) for 7 years. The city was called Jericho and it was a refreshing oasis with palm trees and flowering vines amidst surrounding lands that are barren and desert like. We come to Eglon (Moab’s king; in his palace) to talk with him and tell him we are visitors passing by and ask to have lodge for the night. Eglon agrees to letting us stay the night. We take leave to our chamber and make a small dagger. We go unto Eglon secretly in the night; we find Eglon resting during the night, and stick him with the dagger in his stomach because he was a very fat man. When we stuck his belly with the dagger; it closed up over and around the dagger; so that he could not pull it out and dirt (blood) came out of his stomach. After that we fled from the palace and freed our people (the Israelites) and slew the rest of the Moab army.

Later on we travel to the Ammorites secret outpost where they held all of our people’s animals (cattle). We slaughtered many of the Ammorites that were up and about (on duty) and took our animals back to our people. We also found a very valuable relic (treasure) of our people’s while searching through the alcoves of the enemies army outpost. As our people begin settling back in our country a certain monster (big teeth monster, that I already have modeled) inhabited a portion of our country now and we travel there to defeat him. So we journey to the edge of our country and find this formidable and terrible monster and put him to death so that he can never harm anyone ever again.

Yet, another bad captain named Sisera oppressed our people (after losing their guard once again). So we set out to destroy his army of nine hundred chariots of iron. We (the swordsmen) set up our tents and equipment on top of the mount Tabor. Sisera came with his entire army and camped below the mountain we were on. It rained the next morning and washed away some of their stuff (like equipment) and gave us an advantage; as we rushed down the mountain to attack them. We came down the mountain with all of our army and destroyed his army and chariots so much; that Sisera fled by foot. Sisera traveled to our half cousin (a girl half cousin). She did not like Sisera or his army at all. Sisera came to her house for a place to lay down and relax and she offered him lodge. She gave him food and drink; then put him to rest. While he was fast asleep Jael (our half cousin) took a tent nail and a hammer. Than she went unto him while he was sleeping and smote the nail into his temple (his head). Sisera died right away, after impact. We meet up with her later on, after looking for him for a day or two and found him dead with a spike through his head.

We had a few year’s peace (rest and no slavery) until a dragon entered our country and began destroying our crops. So we journeyed to find him and murder him. We found his sleeping den in a wintry cavern above some rocks in the side of a mountain/pillar thingy. It was a tough fight, but we won it.

One day while attending to watering our flock of animals a mysterious guy comes out of the bushes. It was the severely burnt warrior that was burnt in Jerusalem. He said, "He had been looking for us for a long time… to sought revenge for himself/ for the pain he endured". He came at us and we starting fighting; it lasted awhile and than with all his might he rushed at us and Titus (or any swordsmen) jumped right (direction) of his attack and he fell in the water well and drowned because of his metal sword arms that were extremely heavy.

Stage 8 is mainly a little puzzle mini game that I have an idea for. There are 15 puzzle piece’s on screen with 16 puzzle piece’s blocks (so 1 block is empty). The goal of the puzzle is to align the piece’s of the picture together to make an image. I will add in smoke effects and music to the mini challenge. Does anyone have an object or symbol that I could spin as the puzzle picture? By the way, we can add in a mini level (desert terrain) here that I already have.

A old man in the village who is a fortune teller tells us there is an animal that is wreaking havoc in a small desert village miles outside of our city. So we head out to find this monster that is destroying small/ secluded desert villages. We find a city brought to ruins on the way there. We make it to this drawbridge, and there is some land below the bridge down there; where we can see the monster sleeping. The monster is like a foul looking Pit Crawler creature. We go down there and slay the monster.

The last level is where we fight the evil king (last boss). We are fighting against his army (we are being sieged) in a small watchtower that we have got trapped at. We make a deal with the evil king. We decide to have a one-on-one sword fight to the death; to either remain free people or send his army back to their land and to never disturb our people again. The fight ensues (at a small medieval cemetery) and both contestants fight valorously, but the end is ultimately determined by the game player; to either beat the king or die.

Character Background Info

The judges were tribesmen in Israel upon whom the Lord laid the burden of Israel’s apostate and oppressed state. They were the spiritual ancestors of the prophets; that is to say, men raised up by God, to represent Him in the nation. They were patriots and religious reformers because national security and prosperity were inseparably connected with loyalty and obedience to God. Titus Is a Israelite swordsmen judge (he is the man with hair and a satchel across his chest). He was but the son of a younger brother of Caleb. Barak Is a Israelite swordsmen judge (he is the bald headed guy with a giant axe). He was a left handed man and an assassin. Zena Is a woman swordsmen judge (she is the girl swordsmen).
